As a member of our cleaning staff in Kozhikode, your primary responsibility will be to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness in our facilities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests and employees. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this position: General Cleaning: Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, dining areas, and offices. Surface Disinfection: Sanitizing surfaces, countertops, tables, chairs, and other frequently touched objects using appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to prevent the spread of germs and viruses. Waste Disposal: Collecting and disposing of trash, garbage, and recyclable materials in designated bins or containers. Emptying trash cans, ashtrays, and waste receptacles regularly and replacing liners as needed. Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and disinfecting restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Refilling soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper rolls as necessary. Floor Care: Cleaning and maintaining various types of flooring surfaces, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet. Using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment to remove stains, spills, and debris. Window and Glass Cleaning: Cleaning windows, glass doors, and mirrors using glass cleaner or soapy water to remove fingerprints, smudges, and streaks. Ensuring that glass surfaces are clean and streak-free for a clear view. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies in good working condition. Performing regular inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and dusters. Stocking Supplies: Monitoring inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and consumable items. Notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished and assisting with inventory management as needed. Adherence to Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while performing cleaning tasks. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and following safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other cleaning staff members, supervisors, and department heads to coordinate cleaning schedules, prioritize tasks, and address specific cleaning needs or requirements. Requirements: Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping is preferred but not required. Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Physical fitness and stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks efficiently. Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the facility. Fluency in English and proficiency in Malayalam would be an advantage.
