Our obstetrics and gynecology department offers a wide range of services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological exams, family planning, and reproductive health services. As part of our team expansion, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gynecologist to join us in delivering exceptional gynecological care. Job Description: 1. Obstetric Care: Provide comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant women, including routine antenatal examinations, ultrasound scans, prenatal testing, and management of high-risk pregnancies. Attend deliveries, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and instrumental deliveries, and provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns. 2. Gynecological Care: Perform routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, breast examinations, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions and disorders, such as menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, menopause symptoms, endometriosis, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. 3. Family Planning and Contraception: Counsel patients on contraceptive options, including oral contraceptives, intrauterine devices (IUDs), contraceptive implants, barrier methods, and permanent sterilization. Provide family planning services, including counseling on fertility awareness methods, preconception care, and reproductive health education. 4. Reproductive Health Services: Evaluate and manage reproductive health issues, including infertility, recurrent miscarriages, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and hormonal imbalances. Perform fertility assessments, ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and other fertility treatments in collaboration with reproductive endocrinologists or fertility specialists. 5. Gynecological Procedures: Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries, including colposcopy, hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage (D&C), laparoscopy, hysterectomy, myomectomy, and tubal ligation. Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient counseling, informed consent, surgical planning, and follow-up evaluations. 6. Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients about women's health issues, menstrual hygiene, contraceptive methods, prenatal care, childbirth preparation, and postpartum recovery. Provide counseling and support to patients regarding reproductive choices, pregnancy options, fertility concerns, and gynecological treatments. 7. Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, neonatologists, midwives, nurses, genetic counselors, and social workers, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and peer reviews to discuss complex cases, treatment plans, and patient outcomes. Requirements: Medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized medical institution. Valid medical license and registration with the Kerala Medical Council or Medical Council of India. Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized medical board or institution. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Gynecologist, with expertise in obstetric and gynecological care. Strong clinical skills, diagnostic abilities, and proficiency in performing gynecological procedures and surgeries. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
