As part of our team expansion, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Neurologist to join us in providing expert neurological care. Job Description: 1. Patient Consultations and Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive neurological consultations and evaluations for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological symptoms and conditions. Perform detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and neurological assessments to diagnose and formulate treatment plans. 2. Diagnostic Testing and Interpretation: Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, including MRI scans, CT scans, EEGs, EMGs, nerve conduction studies, and lumbar punctures, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Analyze test results, imaging studies, and laboratory findings to identify neurological abnormalities and diseases. 3. Treatment Planning and Management: Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and neuropathies. Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to manage symptoms, control disease progression, and improve quality of life. 4. Procedures and Interventions: Perform neurological procedures and interventions, such as lumbar punctures, nerve blocks, botulinum toxin injections, and electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring, as indicated for diagnosis and treatment. Coordinate with interventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists for advanced procedures and surgeries when necessary. 5. Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications. Provide counseling and support to patients coping with neurological disabilities, cognitive impairments, and functional limitations. 6. Collaborative Care and Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and patient care rounds to discuss complex cases and formulate treatment strategies. 7. Research and Academics: Engage in clinical research, academic activities, and scholarly pursuits related to neurology, including participation in research studies, publication of scientific articles, and presentation at conferences. Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology, providing teaching and supervision in clinical practice, research methodologies, and evidence-based medicine. Requirements: Medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification (MD/DNB) in Neurology from a recognized medical institution. Valid medical license and registration with the Kerala Medical Council or Medical Council of India. Board certification or eligibility in Neurology from a recognized medical board or institution. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Neurologist, with expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological disorders. Strong clinical skills, diagnostic abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging studies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
