As part of our team, we are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join us in delivering exceptional pharmacy services. Job Description: 1. Dispensing Medications: Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy protocols. Review prescription orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness, and verify patient information and medication allergies. 2. Medication Counseling: Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on medication usage, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Address patient questions, concerns, and inquiries regarding their medications and health conditions, and offer appropriate advice and recommendations. 3. Prescription Management: Manage prescription records, refill requests, and medication orders accurately and promptly, maintaining confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Communicate with prescribers or healthcare providers as needed to clarify prescription details, obtain refill authorizations, or address medication-related issues. 4. Medication Therapy Management: Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) services, including medication reviews, adherence assessments, and patient education sessions, to optimize medication outcomes and improve patient adherence. 5. Inventory Management: Monitor medication inventory levels, expiration dates, and storage conditions, and perform regular stock checks and inventory audits to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste. Place orders for medications and pharmaceutical supplies as needed, and coordinate with suppliers or wholesalers to replenish stock in a timely manner. 6. Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, including but not limited to recordkeeping requirements, controlled substance regulations, and pharmacy practice guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure pharmacy environment, and adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols. 7. Customer Service and Support: Provide friendly, courteous, and professional customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and respectful manner. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and the community, promoting trust and loyalty to the pharmacy. Requirements: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution. Valid pharmacy license issued by the Kerala State Pharmacy Council. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in dispensing medications and managing pharmacy operations. Computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software and systems.
