As part of our dedicated team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Laptop Technician to join us in delivering exceptional technical support to our clients. Job Description: 1. Laptop Diagnosis and Repair: Perform thorough diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues with laptops, including problems with power supply, display, keyboard, touchpad, and internal components. Repair or replace faulty laptop components, such as motherboards, RAM modules, hard drives, batteries, and AC adapters, using appropriate tools and techniques. 2. Software Installation and Troubleshooting: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications on laptops to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. Address software-related issues, such as system crashes, software conflicts, driver errors, and virus/malware infections, using diagnostic tools and utilities. 3. Data Recovery and Backup: Perform data recovery procedures to retrieve lost or corrupted files and documents from damaged or malfunctioning laptop hard drives. Assist clients with data backup solutions to safeguard important files and prevent data loss due to hardware failure or accidental deletion. 4. Laptop Upgrades and Maintenance: Upgrade laptop hardware components, such as RAM, hard drives, SSDs, and optical drives, to improve performance and extend the lifespan of client systems. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning dust and debris from laptop internals, applying thermal paste, and optimizing system settings for better efficiency. 5. Customer Support and Consultation: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing technical support and guidance on laptop repair options, upgrade recommendations, and preventive maintenance strategies. Communicate effectively with clients to explain repair procedures, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions or concerns they may have. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware and Networking, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Laptop Technician or IT support technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills and knowledge of laptop hardware, software, operating systems, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software utilities, and hardware repair equipment. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients of varying technical backgrounds.
