As part of our dedicated team, we are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Technician to join us in providing exceptional IT support services. Job Description: 1. Hardware Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose hardware issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, including problems with power supply, motherboard, RAM, hard drive, and optical drives. Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components, such as replacing RAM modules, upgrading hard drives, or repairing broken connectors. 2. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and drivers on Windows and Macintosh platforms. Ensure software compatibility, licensing compliance, and optimal performance for client systems. 3. Virus and Malware Removal: Scan and remove viruses, malware, spyware, and other malicious software from infected computers using antivirus tools and malware removal utilities. Implement preventive measures and security best practices to protect client systems from future infections. 4. Network Setup and Configuration: Set up wired and wireless network connections, routers, switches, and access points for home or small business environments. Configure network settings, IP addresses, and security protocols to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity. 5. Data Backup and Recovery: Perform data backup procedures to safeguard important files and documents from loss or corruption. Assist clients with data recovery efforts in cases of accidental deletion, disk formatting, or hardware failure. 6. Customer Support and Training: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to clients via phone, email, or in-person interactions. Offer guidance and training to clients on basic computer usage, software applications, and best practices for maintaining system performance and security. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware and Networking, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Computer Technician or IT support technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking fundamentals. Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and techniques. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients of varying technical backgrounds.
