Service Leadership: Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, host/hostesses, and bussers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction. Set a positive example for team members, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a customer-focused mindset in all interactions with guests and colleagues. 2. Guest Relations: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements, taking note of special requests, preferences, and dietary restrictions to personalize the dining experience. Engage with guests throughout their meal, anticipating their needs, addressing any concerns or requests promptly, and ensuring a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. 3. Order Management: Oversee the order-taking process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail in recording and transmitting guest orders to the kitchen staff, including special instructions or modifications. Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages, monitoring order statuses and communicating any delays or changes to guests as needed. 4. Menu Knowledge and Recommendations: Possess a thorough understanding of the restaurant menu, including food and beverage offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles, to provide informed recommendations and descriptions to guests. Assist guests in selecting menu items, offering suggestions for wine pairings, special dishes, or promotions, and accommodating special dietary needs or preferences with flexibility and attentiveness. 5. Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints, concerns, or special requests with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, addressing issues promptly, resolving conflicts tactfully, and escalating matters to management when necessary. Act as a liaison between guests and management, communicating feedback, suggestions, and observations to improve service quality and guest satisfaction. 6. Team Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and teamwork among front-of-house staff to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service. Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management staff, relaying guest feedback, special requests, and operational issues to ensure smooth coordination and execution of restaurant operations. Requirements: Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter/Waitress, or in a similar supervisory role in a fine dining restaurant or upscale establishment, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in hospitality management.
