We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Wood Cutting Machine Operator to join our team in Kozhikode. As a Wood Cutting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of wood cutting machinery to produce lumber and wood products according to specifications. Responsibilities: Operate wood cutting machinery such as saws, planers, routers, and sanders to cut and shape wood materials. Set up machines by adjusting settings, blades, and guides according to job specifications. Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate cutting, shaping, and finishing of wood products. Feed wood materials into the machine and remove finished pieces, maintaining a steady workflow. Inspect wood products for defects or irregularities and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following safety procedures and regulations. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot machinery issues and perform minor repairs as necessary. Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to prioritize production schedules and meet deadlines. Keep accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, and inventory levels. Follow company policies and procedures regarding quality control, safety, and waste management. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiency in wood cutting operations. Requirements: Previous experience as a wood cutting machine operator or in a similar role is required. Proficiency in operating various wood cutting machinery and equipment.
