As a car painter, you will be responsible for painting vehicles, applying paint coats, and finishing touches to automotive vehicles. You will work closely with the auto body repair team to ensure quality repairs and paint jobs. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Responsibilities: Prepare Surfaces: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas not to be painted. Mix Paints: Mix and match paint colors to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality of color. Apply Paint: Apply paint to vehicles using various application methods such as brushes, sprayers, and rollers. Detail Work: Perform detailed touch-ups and finish work, ensuring a seamless and high-quality paint job. Quality Control: Inspect finished paint jobs to ensure quality standards are met, including proper color match and finish. Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools to ensure they remain in good working condition. Adhere to Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Documentation: Keep detailed records of paint jobs, including colors used, materials, and any issues encountered. Requirements: Proven experience as a car painter or automotive painter. Knowledge of painting techniques and tools. Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately. Strong attention to detail. Good physical stamina and dexterity. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school or apprenticeship is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in automotive painting. Previous experience in an auto body shop or similar setting. Familiarity with different types of automotive paint and finishes.
