As a Physician Doctor in Kollam, you will be responsible for providing primary and specialized medical care to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, promoting preventive care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This position requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services. Responsibilities: Patient Consultation and Examination: Conduct thorough medical evaluations and physical examinations of patients presenting with various medical concerns. Take detailed medical histories, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results to accurately diagnose medical conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including medication prescriptions, lifestyle recommendations, and referrals to specialists if necessary. Medical Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including infections, injuries, chronic diseases, and mental health disorders. Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and interventions to alleviate symptoms, manage conditions, and promote healing and recovery. Perform minor surgical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and incision and drainage, as needed in outpatient settings. Preventive Care and Health Promotion: Educate patients about preventive measures, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease prevention strategies to maintain optimal health and well-being. Conduct routine health screenings, immunizations, and health assessments to identify risk factors and early signs of disease. Provide counseling on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other wellness topics to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention. Patient Monitoring and Follow-up: Monitor patients' progress, response to treatment, and adherence to medical recommendations through regular follow-up visits and consultations. Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on changes in patients' health status, symptoms, or test results. Document patient encounters, medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care. Refer patients to specialists or diagnostic facilities for further evaluation or treatment when necessary, and communicate effectively with referral providers to facilitate seamless transitions of care. Emergency and On-call Duties: Provide emergency medical care and stabilization for patients presenting with acute medical emergencies or life-threatening conditions. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours calls or emergencies as required to ensure 24/7 coverage and availability of medical services. Requirements: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized medical school. Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Kerala Medical Council (KMC). Residency training in internal medicine or family medicine is preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a practicing physician. Excellent clinical skills, diagnostic abilities, and medical judgment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
