As a Security Officer in Thrissur, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the premises, assets, and individuals within your assigned area. You will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents to maintain a secure environment. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Surveillance and Monitoring: Conducting regular patrols and inspections of the premises to detect and deter suspicious activities, unauthorized access, or security breaches. Monitoring surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to identify security threats or breaches. Access Control: Controlling access to the premises by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and enforcing entry and exit procedures. Conducting security checks of vehicles, bags, and belongings to prevent unauthorized items from entering the premises. Security Response: Responding promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, including disturbances, medical emergencies, or fire alarms. Implementing emergency procedures, such as evacuations or lockdowns, as necessary to ensure the safety of occupants. Incident Reporting and Documentation: Documenting security incidents, observations, and actions taken in incident reports or security logs. Reporting security breaches, safety hazards, or policy violations to appropriate authorities or management personnel. Customer Service and Assistance: Providing assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, and customers regarding security procedures, directions, or emergency protocols. Addressing inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to security in a professional and courteous manner. Security Equipment Maintenance: Inspecting and maintaining security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to ensure proper functioning. Reporting any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders to coordinate responses to security incidents or emergencies. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to provide updates, share information, and coordinate activities. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in security or law enforcement, preferably in a similar role. Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations. Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and safety regulations.
