As a Floor Supervisor in Trivandrum, your primary role is to oversee the operations and personnel on the floor of a retail store, restaurant, hotel, or other customer service establishment. You will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day activities run smoothly, customer service standards are met, and team members are performing effectively. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Staff Management: Supervising and coordinating the activities of floor staff, including sales associates, servers, or customer service representatives. Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on workload and priorities. Providing training, guidance, and feedback to staff to enhance their performance and customer service skills. Customer Service: Ensuring that customers receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service at all times. Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner. Monitoring customer feedback and satisfaction levels and taking proactive measures to address any issues or concerns. Floor Operations: Overseeing the opening and closing procedures of the establishment, including cash handling, security checks, and inventory management. Monitoring the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the floor area, including displays, merchandise, and dining areas. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Sales and Performance Monitoring: Monitoring sales performance, including sales targets, productivity, and conversion rates. Analyzing sales trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and revenue growth. Implementing strategies to drive sales, upsell products or services, and maximize profitability. Team Communication and Collaboration: Communicating effectively with team members, managers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and coordination. Conducting regular team meetings to provide updates, share information, and address any issues or challenges. Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate and engage team members. Quality Assurance: Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are maintained in product presentation, service delivery, and cleanliness. Implementing corrective actions and improvements as needed to address deficiencies or areas of concern. Training and Development: Identifying training needs and opportunities for skill development among floor staff. Providing training sessions, workshops, or coaching to improve product knowledge, customer service techniques, and job performance. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and operational activities. Generating reports and analysis on sales performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics for management review. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, hospitality, or customer service industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
