ob Overview: As a Four-Wheeler Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of four-wheeled vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and trucks. Working in Kollam, Kerala, you'll utilize your technical expertise and automotive knowledge to ensure the safe and reliable operation of vehicles while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues affecting vehicle performance and functionality. Engine Repair and Maintenance: Perform engine repairs, tune-ups, and overhauls, including cylinder head repairs, timing belt replacements, fuel system repairs, and engine component replacements. Brake System Service: Inspect, repair, and replace brake system components, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and master cylinders, to ensure safe and efficient braking performance. Suspension and Steering Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with suspension and steering systems, including shock absorbers, struts, ball joints, tie rods, and steering racks, to maintain vehicle stability and control. Transmission Service: Service automatic and manual transmissions, including fluid changes, filter replacements, clutch adjustments, and transmission rebuilds, to ensure smooth shifting and optimal drivability. Electrical System Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical system issues, such as wiring faults, battery failures, starter motor problems, and alternator malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams. HVAC System Repair: Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines, to maintain interior comfort and climate control. Wheel Alignment and Balancing: Perform wheel alignment and balancing procedures to correct tire wear patterns, improve vehicle handling, and ensure proper tire contact with the road surface. Diagnostic Equipment Use: Utilize diagnostic equipment, such as scan tools, code readers, and multimeters, to retrieve fault codes, analyze sensor data, and diagnose complex vehicle systems. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, provide detailed explanations of repair recommendations, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in automotive technology or a related field. Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in four-wheeled vehicles. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Proficiency in using automotive repair tools, equipment, and diagnostic software. Knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to automotive repair. Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
