As a Room Service Attendant in Kannur, your primary responsibility is to provide prompt and efficient food and beverage service to guests staying in the hotel or accommodation facility. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Order Taking: Answering guest calls and inquiries regarding room service menu options, specials, and meal availability. Assisting guests in making selections and taking accurate orders over the phone or in person. Food Preparation: Coordinating with kitchen staff to prepare and assemble food and beverage orders according to guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Ensuring that all items are plated attractively and presented in a timely manner. Beverage Service: Serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, and alcoholic beverages, to guests in their rooms. Following proper serving techniques and alcohol service policies. Tray Setup: Arranging food and beverage trays neatly and attractively for delivery to guest rooms. Ensuring that trays are equipped with appropriate condiments, utensils, napkins, and garnishes as needed. Delivery: Delivering food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and courteously. Confirming the guest's identity and verifying the accuracy of the order before presenting it to the guest. Table Setting: Setting up and arranging in-room dining tables or tray tables for guests who prefer to dine in their rooms. Providing additional tableware or amenities as requested. Billing and Payment: Presenting guest checks accurately and processing payments for room service orders. Handling cash, credit card transactions, or room charge transactions according to established procedures. Order Coordination: Communicating effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other room service attendants to ensure smooth order flow and timely delivery of food and beverage items. Quality Assurance: Monitoring food quality, temperature, and presentation to ensure that all items meet the hotel's standards of excellence. Addressing any concerns or complaints from guests regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally. Hygiene and Safety: Adhering to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards while handling and serving food and beverages. Following proper sanitation procedures for cleaning and disinfecting serving trays, utensils, and equipment. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality industry preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivery. Basic math skills for processing payments and calculating bills.
