As a member of the housekeeping staff in Kannur, your primary role is to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall comfort for guests in accommodation facilities such as hotels, resorts, or guesthouses. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Room Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and suites to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, and cleaning bathrooms. Linen Management: Changing bed linens, towels, and other linens in guest rooms as needed. Ensuring that all linens are clean, fresh, and properly folded or hung. Bathroom Cleaning: Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs. Replenishing toiletries and amenities as needed. Public Area Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining common areas of the accommodation facility, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators. Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and dusting surfaces as needed. Trash Removal: Emptying trash bins in guest rooms and public areas, and disposing of garbage and recyclable materials in designated receptacles. Keeping trash areas clean and odor-free. Restocking Supplies: Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies, toiletries, and amenities in guest rooms and public areas. Ordering supplies as needed and ensuring proper storage and organization. Special Requests: Fulfilling special guest requests, such as providing extra towels, pillows, or blankets, or arranging for laundry or dry cleaning services. Laundry Assistance: Assisting with laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and guest clothing as needed. Room Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms to ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Reporting any issues or discrepancies to the housekeeping supervisor for resolution. Customer Service: Providing friendly, courteous, and professional service to guests at all times. Responding promptly and positively to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Requirements: No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
