Job Title: Laptop Technician Job Overview: As a Laptop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops and other portable computing devices. You will work in a technical support capacity, providing hardware and software support to customers or end-users experiencing laptop-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Hardware Diagnosis: Troubleshoot hardware issues on laptops, including problems with components such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, keyboards, displays, and batteries. Component Replacement: Replace defective or faulty laptop components, including damaged screens, malfunctioning keyboards, depleted batteries, and failed hard drives. Hardware Repair: Perform hardware repairs on laptops, such as soldering broken connections, reseating loose components, and repairing damaged connectors or ports. Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot software issues on laptops, including operating system errors, driver conflicts, software crashes, and malware infections. Operating System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update operating systems on laptops, including Windows, macOS, and Linux distributions. Data Backup and Recovery: Assist with data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard valuable data and files stored on laptop hard drives or SSDs. Memory and Storage Upgrades: Upgrade laptop memory (RAM) and storage (hard drives or SSDs) to improve performance and increase storage capacity as needed.
