As a Room Service Attendant in Idukki, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to guests staying in the hotel by delivering food, beverages, and other amenities to their rooms promptly and courteously. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Order Taking: Answering guest calls for room service promptly and courteously. Taking accurate food and beverage orders, as well as any additional requests, and entering them into the hotel's ordering system. Food Preparation: Communicating orders to the kitchen and ensuring timely preparation of food items. Ensuring that all food items are properly garnished, plated, and packaged for delivery. Beverage Service: Preparing and serving beverages, including hot and cold drinks, alcoholic beverages, and cocktails, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. Delivery: Delivering food, beverages, and other amenities to guest rooms promptly and accurately. Ensuring that orders are complete and presented neatly and professionally. Presentation: Setting up trays and tables in guest rooms with appropriate tableware, utensils, condiments, and garnishes. Presenting food and beverages in an appealing and attractive manner. Quality Control: Conducting quality checks on food and beverage items before delivery to ensure they meet the hotel's standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Customer Service: Providing personalized service to guests, including addressing any special requests or dietary requirements. Responding promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Billing and Payment: Presenting bills to guests accurately and processing payments promptly and securely. Handling cash and credit card transactions in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of room service items, including food, beverages, and supplies. Replenishing stock as needed and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor. Safety and Hygiene: Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper handling, storage, and serving of food and beverages. Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in room service, food and beverage service, or hospitality preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette.
