Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Mask or cover areas not to be painted to protect them from overspray or paint splatter. Fill and repair surface imperfections, such as dents, scratches, and dings, using fillers and putties as needed. Paint Mixing and Color Matching: Mix paint colors and additives to achieve desired shades and finishes according to customer specifications. Match paint colors to samples, color codes, or swatches provided by customers or manufacturers. Spray Painting Techniques: Operate spray painting equipment, including spray guns, airbrushes, and paint booths, to apply paint and coatings evenly and efficiently. Adjust spray gun settings, such as air pressure, paint flow, and nozzle size, to achieve optimal spray patterns and coverage. Apply multiple coats of paint, primer, and clear coat as needed to achieve desired finish quality and durability.
