Job Description: As an Automobile Body Shop Advisor, you will play a crucial role in our customer service and repair operations. You will be responsible for interacting with customers, assessing vehicle damage, and providing accurate repair estimates. Additionally, you will coordinate with our team of technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs while maintaining high-quality standards. Your primary responsibilities will include: Customer Interaction: Greet customers and inquire about their vehicle repair needs. Listen attentively to customer concerns and provide professional advice and solutions. Explain repair processes and cost estimates clearly and transparently. Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates as needed. Vehicle Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repair needed. Identify and document all visible and hidden damages accurately. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to aid in the assessment process. Collaborate with technicians to develop comprehensive repair plans based on assessment findings. Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates for customers, considering parts, labor, and additional services required. Ensure estimates are in line with company pricing policies and standards. Review estimates with customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Obtain necessary approvals from customers before initiating repairs. Coordination and Follow-Up: Coordinate with the repair team to schedule repairs and allocate resources effectively. Monitor repair progress and ensure deadlines are met. Conduct quality checks on completed repairs to ensure customer satisfaction. Follow up with customers post-repair to ensure their satisfaction and address any additional concerns. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, vehicle assessments, and repair estimates. Process repair orders, invoices, and payments efficiently. Assist in inventory management by ordering necessary parts and supplies as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in automotive technology, business administration, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in automotive repair estimating or customer service, preferably in an automobile body shop setting. Strong knowledge of automobile mechanics, body repair techniques, and diagnostic tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in computer software programs, including estimating and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
