We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cutting Master to join our team in Karunagapalli. As a Cutting Master, you will be responsible for overseeing the cutting process of fabric to prepare components for garment production. Your role will involve interpreting patterns, organizing fabric, operating cutting equipment, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the cutting process. Responsibilities: Review production orders, patterns, and specifications to determine cutting requirements. Organize fabric rolls or stacks according to size, color, and fabric type. Lay out fabric layers on cutting tables and align patterns according to markers. Use cutting tools, such as scissors, rotary cutters, or electric knives, to cut fabric layers according to pattern outlines. Operate computerized cutting equipment, such as laser or blade cutters, to cut fabric with precision. Monitor cutting equipment to ensure proper operation and make adjustments as needed. Inspect cut fabric pieces for accuracy, quality, and defects, and make corrections as necessary. Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in fabric quality, pattern alignment, or cutting accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cutting area, including cutting tables, equipment, and storage racks. Collaborate with design, production, and quality control teams to meet production goals and quality standards. Provide training and guidance to cutting assistants or junior staff members as needed. Keep accurate records of fabric usage, cutting activities, and inventory levels. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a Cutting Master or similar role in a garment manufacturing or textile industry. Strong knowledge of fabric types, grainlines, and cutting techniques. Proficiency in using cutting tools and equipment, including manual and computerized cutting machines. Ability to interpret patterns, markers, and production specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail and precision in cutting fabric. Good organizational and time management skills. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy fabric rolls. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
