We are seeking an experienced and skilled tailor to join our team in Kasaragod. As a tailor, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality garments according to customer specifications and ensuring a seamless fit and finish. Attention to detail, precision, and a passion for fashion are essential for this role. Responsibilities: Take accurate measurements of customers to ensure proper garment fitting. Interpret and follow garment patterns to cut fabric efficiently. Sew garments using various stitching techniques, including hand stitching and machine sewing. Alter finished garments to meet customer specifications, including hemming, adjusting seams, and adding embellishments. Inspect finished garments for quality and consistency, making any necessary adjustments. Keep work area clean and organized, including maintaining sewing equipment. Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet production targets and deadlines. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and knowledge. Provide excellent customer service, including addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously. Requirements: Proven experience as a tailor, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Proficiency in garment construction techniques and sewing methods. Ability to interpret and follow garment patterns accurately. Excellent attention to detail and precision in garment construction. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Familiarity with a variety of sewing equipment, including sewing machines and sergers. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and garment care instructions. Certification or formal training in tailoring or fashion design is preferred.
