We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Tea Maker to join our team at our establishment in Palakkad. As a Tea Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of teas to our customers, ensuring excellent quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of tea varieties, and a passion for providing exceptional service. Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of teas, including black tea, green tea, herbal tea, and specialty teas, according to customer preferences and specifications. Brew tea using proper brewing methods and equipment, ensuring optimal flavor and aroma. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tea preparation area, including tea pots, tea strainers, and tea accessories. Keep tea ingredients and supplies well-stocked and organized, including tea leaves, tea bags, sweeteners, and milk. Greet customers warmly and take their tea orders accurately and efficiently. Provide recommendations and descriptions of tea varieties to customers, based on their preferences and tastes. Prepare and serve tea accompaniments, such as biscuits, cookies, or pastries, as requested. Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately, processing payments and providing change to customers. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of tea ingredients. Clean and sanitize tea equipment, utensils, and serving areas regularly, following established cleaning procedures. Assist with general kitchen duties and tasks as needed, including dishwashing, cleaning, and restocking supplies. Collaborate with other team members to provide efficient and friendly service to customers. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction. Requirements: Prior experience as a Tea Maker, Barista, or similar role in a café, restaurant, or tea shop is preferred but not required. Knowledge of different tea varieties, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a passion for providing high-quality tea and service. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Fluent in Malayalam; proficiency in English is an advantage. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
