We are seeking a skilled and experienced North Indian Cook to join our team in Kottayam. The ideal candidate should have a passion for North Indian cuisine and be proficient in preparing a variety of authentic dishes. As a North Indian Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our North Indian menu items, as well as contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a wide variety of North Indian dishes, including but not limited to curries, tandoori items, bread, and desserts. Follow traditional recipes and techniques to maintain authenticity and quality of dishes. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies required for North Indian cuisine. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in North Indian cooking techniques and recipes. Collaborate with management to develop and update menu offerings based on customer feedback and preferences. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. Uphold high standards of food presentation and taste to exceed customer expectations. Requirements: Proven experience as a North Indian Cook or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in a professional kitchen setting. In-depth knowledge of North Indian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Certification in culinary arts or relevant field is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong communication skills in Hindi or Punjabi, as well as basic proficiency in English.
