We are seeking an experienced South Indian Cook to join our team in Kottayam, Kerala. The ideal candidate should be passionate about South Indian cuisine, have a thorough understanding of traditional South Indian cooking techniques, and possess the ability to create authentic and delicious dishes that satisfy our customers. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, vadas, sambhar, rasam, curries, and chutneys. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to authentic South Indian recipes and maintain consistency in taste and quality. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ingredients and spices, to ensure freshness and availability. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, following food safety and hygiene standards. Train and supervise kitchen staff, including assistants and helpers, to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff. Stay updated on current trends and innovations in South Indian cuisine to continuously improve menu offerings and customer satisfaction. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Cook or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting. In-depth knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients. Ability to prepare a wide variety of South Indian dishes with consistency and precision. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours. Good communication and leadership skills. Certification in food safety and hygiene is preferred.
