A garment merchandiser acts as the main bridge between the clothing buyer and the manufacturing factory, managing the entire order process from initial product sampling to final shipment delivery. Communication: Talk daily with buyers, suppliers, and internal factory teams to keep everyone updated. Sampling & Approvals: Make and send proto, fit, and size-set samples to get official buyer sign-offs. Sourcing & Purchasing: Buy fabrics, threads, trims, and accessories at the best prices. Costing & Pricing: Create detailed cost sheets and negotiate budgets with clients and vendors.
