Cook cum Cleaning Staff (or Housekeeper cum Cook) manages both daily meal preparation and comprehensive domestic cleanliness for a household, small office, or clinic.Key Responsibilities1. Cooking and Kitchen ManagementMeal Preparation: Plan and cook daily meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner) according to employer preferences or dietary restrictions.Food Prep & Storage: Wash, chop, and store vegetables and raw ingredients safely.Kitchen Hygiene: Wash utensils, clean countertops, and sanitize cooking appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave, mixer).Inventory Control: Track pantry items and notify the employer when grocery or cleaning supplies run low.2. Cleaning and HousekeepingGeneral Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust furniture, fixtures, and common areas.Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and bathrooms regularly.Waste Management: Empty trash cans and dispose of garbage properly every day.3. Additional Domestic Duties (Often Included)Laundry: Wash clothes (by hand or machine), hang them to dry, iron, and fold them neatly.Upkeep: Change bed linens, make beds, and lay the dining table for meals.Requirements and QualificationsExperience: Minimum 1 year of prior experience working as a domestic cook, home maid, or in commercial housekeeping/resorts.Skills: Knowledge of basic domestic cooking, safe food handling, and proper use of cleaning chemicals/disinfectants.Physical Fitness: High physical stamina to handle active work, standing for long hours, and lifting or moving household items.Personal Attributes: Reliability, honesty, punctuality, and basic communication skills to understand dietary preferences and daily instructions.Government e-MarketplaceScope of Work:3.
