Job Description
The Portion Controller is responsible for ensuring consistency and cost-efficiency in food service by strictly monitoring the quantity of every dish served to customers. In this role, you will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to verify that every plate meets the established weight and size standards, preventing both food waste and under-serving. Your duties include using weighing scales and standard measuring tools for ingredients, overseeing the plating process during peak hours, and maintaining accurate records of daily food output versus inventory usage. To be successful, you should have completed your Plus Two (12th Grade) or a basic catering course, possess a sharp eye for detail, and have a good understanding of basic mathematics for portion calculations.
