Use navigation tools or GPS devices to navigate unfamiliar routes and ensure timely deliveries. Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic rules and regulations at all times. Exercise caution while driving, especially during adverse weather conditions or heavy traffic, to prevent accidents or delays. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner upon delivery. Confirm order details, collect payment if required, and provide assistance or information as needed. Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and escalate issues to the appropriate department if necessary. Product Handling: Handle delivered items with care to prevent damage or breakage during transportation. Ensure that perishable items are delivered promptly to maintain product freshness and quality. Follow specific handling instructions for delicate or fragile items. Delivery Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, recipient signatures, and any delivery notes or instructions. Submit delivery reports or logs to the dispatch team for record-keeping and reconciliation. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on company vehicles before and after each shift, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and vehicle cleanliness. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department for timely repairs. Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding delivery operations, including safety guidelines, delivery protocols, and customer service standards. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and order details. Time Management: Manage delivery schedules efficiently to ensure on-time delivery of orders. Prioritize urgent or time-sensitive deliveries and communicate any delays or issues to customers and the dispatch team. Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the dispatch team, fellow delivery executives, and other staff members. Provide regular updates on delivery status, route changes, or any incidents encountered during deliveries. Qualifications: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Previous experience in delivery or transportation roles is preferred but not required. Good knowledge of local roads, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns in Ernakulam.
