Job Description: The Ayurveda Therapist plays a crucial role in providing personalized Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to clients, promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This position involves performing various Ayurvedic treatments, including massages, herbal therapies, and detoxification procedures, under the guidance of Ayurvedic doctors. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles, therapeutic techniques, and client care to deliver effective and holistic healing experiences. Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their health concerns, medical history, lifestyle, and wellness goals. Listen attentively to clients' needs and preferences to customize treatment plans and recommend suitable Ayurvedic therapies. Therapeutic Treatments: Perform a variety of traditional Ayurvedic treatments and therapies, including Abhyanga (oil massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring therapy), Panchakarma detoxification, Nasya (nasal therapy), and herbal steam therapy, according to established protocols and guidelines. Herbal Preparations: Prepare herbal oils, decoctions, pastes, and poultices for use in treatments, following traditional Ayurvedic formulations and recipes. Ensure the quality, purity, and safety of herbal ingredients used in treatments. Massage Techniques: Apply Ayurvedic massage techniques, strokes, and pressure points to stimulate energy flow, release muscular tension, and promote relaxation and rejuvenation. Customize massage therapies to address specific health conditions and therapeutic goals. Detoxification Procedures: Administer Panchakarma therapies, such as Vamana (emesis therapy), Virechana (purgation therapy), Basti (enema therapy), Nasya (nasal therapy), and Rakta Mokshana (blood purification), under the supervision of Ayurvedic doctors. Client Education: Educate clients about Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and self-care practices to support their healing process and maintain optimal health and wellness. Provide guidance on post-treatment care and follow-up recommendations. Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with hygiene standards, sanitation protocols, and safety precautions during treatment sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies to create a safe and comfortable environment for clients. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client consultations, treatment sessions, observations, and progress notes in client files. Document treatment protocols, herbal formulations, and therapeutic recommendations for reference and continuity of care. Professional Development: Stay updated on developments in Ayurvedic medicine, therapies, and wellness practices through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Enhance skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality of care to clients. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Ayurvedic doctors, wellness consultants, and other therapists to coordinate client care, discuss treatment plans, and ensure integrated healthcare delivery. Communicate effectively with team members to provide comprehensive support to clients. Qualifications: Certification or diploma in Ayurveda Therapy or Panchakarma Therapy from a recognized Ayurvedic institution. Minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience as an Ayurveda Therapist in a reputable Ayurvedic wellness center or clinic. Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, concepts, and therapeutic techniques, with proficiency in administering various Ayurvedic treatments and therapies. Proficiency in Ayurvedic massage techniques, including Abhyanga, Marma massage, and Udvartana, with the ability to adapt treatments to meet individual client needs. Familiarity with Panchakarma detoxification procedures and protocols, including Vamana, Virechana, Basti, and Nasya therapies. Understanding of herbal preparations, Ayurvedic pharmacology, and herbal medicine formulations used in Ayurvedic treatments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, explain treatment procedures, and provide personalized care. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others achieve optimal health and well-being through Ayurveda. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Ayurvedic doctors, wellness consultants, and support staff.
