As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dishwashing area. Job Description: As a Dishwasher at [Insert Company Name], you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment used in food preparation and service. Your primary focus will be on performing dishwashing duties efficiently and effectively, supporting the kitchen team, and adhering to established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen items by hand or using dishwashing equipment, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation. Utensil Sorting: Sort and stack cleaned items in designated storage areas, ensuring that items are organized and easily accessible for kitchen staff. Kitchen Equipment Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as food preparation surfaces, countertops, stoves, grills, and ovens, as needed. Trash Removal: Empty trash cans and waste bins in the dishwashing area and kitchen, disposing of garbage and recyclable materials in designated receptacles. Assisting Kitchen Staff: Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, chopping ingredients, and assembling food items, as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized at all times, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning sinks, and disposing of food waste properly. Stocking Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, dishwashing detergent, and other related items, notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. Adhering to Safety Protocols: Follow safety guidelines and procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating dishwashing equipment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Assisting with Special Projects: Assist with deep cleaning projects in the kitchen and dining areas, such as floor scrubbing, equipment maintenance, and overall sanitation. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks. Qualifications: Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred, but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak dining hours.
