Job Description: We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Car Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for automotive painting. Responsibilities: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming as needed to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Mix paint colors and match existing paint finishes to achieve precise color matching and customer satisfaction. Apply paint finishes using spray guns, brushes, and other painting equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth, uniform finishes. Perform minor bodywork repairs, such as filling dents, scratches, and imperfections, prior to painting. Follow paint manufacturer guidelines and specifications for paint application, drying times, and curing processes. Clean and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, paint booths, and ventilation systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety. Monitor environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, to optimize paint application and drying processes. Inspect painted surfaces for quality defects, such as runs, sags, or orange peel, and perform touch-up or refinishing as needed. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of paint jobs. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements governing paint application and disposal in automotive repair facilities. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Automotive Painting or a related field. Proven experience as a car painter or automotive refinish technician, with at least 2-3 years of experience in automotive painting. Strong understanding of paint application techniques, including surface preparation, mixing, and spraying. Proficiency in using painting equipment, such as spray guns, paint booths, and masking materials. Excellent color matching skills and attention to detail, with the ability to achieve precise color matches and paint finishes. Ability to perform minor bodywork repairs and surface preparation tasks prior to painting. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate customer schedules and workload. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
