Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile AC Technician to join our team. The Automobile AC Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing air conditioning systems in vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for automotive air conditioning systems. Responsibilities: Inspect and diagnose air conditioning system issues in vehicles, including inadequate cooling, strange noises, and compressor malfunctions. Perform air conditioning system repairs and replacements, including compressor replacements, condenser repairs, evaporator replacements, and refrigerant recharges. Use diagnostic equipment, pressure gauges, and leak detection tools to identify refrigerant leaks and system malfunctions accurately. Conduct performance tests on air conditioning systems to ensure proper operation and cooling efficiency. Repair or replace damaged components, including hoses, valves, switches, and sensors, to restore air conditioning system functionality. Test electrical components and wiring related to the air conditioning system, including relays, fuses, and switches, to diagnose electrical issues. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on air conditioning systems, including filter replacements, system flushes, and lubrication of moving parts. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements governing refrigerant handling and disposal in automotive repair facilities. Keep abreast of advancements in automotive air conditioning technology and refrigerant regulations, attending training sessions and workshops as needed. Maintain accurate records of air conditioning repairs, parts usage, and refrigerant handling in the service management system. Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Automotive Air Conditioning Systems or a related field. Proven experience as an automobile AC technician or automotive technician, with at least 2-3 years of experience in AC system diagnostics and repair. Strong understanding of automotive air conditioning systems, including refrigerant types, components, and system operation. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, pressure gauges, and refrigerant recovery machines. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex AC system issues. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in AC system repairs and replacements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate customer schedules and workload. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
