Job Description: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, transactions, and reporting activities of the company. Your role will involve: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Record financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections based on historical data and future business plans. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and optimization. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Monitor accounts receivable balances, issue invoices to customers, and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analyses, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review and decision-making. Generate financial reports for external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, investors, and auditors, as required. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory payments. Prepare and submit tax returns, statements, and declarations accurately and within deadlines. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant financial documentation, explanations, and support to auditors. Implement audit recommendations and corrective actions to strengthen internal controls and financial processes. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluation to assess business profitability, liquidity, and solvency. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement through financial data analysis and interpretation. Payroll Processing: Process payroll transactions, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions. Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries and benefits to employees in compliance with labor laws and company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in [mention industry or sector]. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or SAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
