We are currently seeking a competent and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee construction projects in Kochi. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining quality standards. Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and subcontractor work. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met. Work Supervision: Supervise construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, structural erection, and finishing tasks. Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications and safety regulations. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate site workers, subcontractors, and laborers to maximize productivity and efficiency. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and resolve conflicts or issues that arise during construction activities. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, procedures, and standards on the construction site. Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment. Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and construction quality to ensure adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications. Conduct inspections, tests, and quality checks to verify compliance with quality standards and requirements. Materials Management: Manage materials and supplies on-site, including inventory control, storage, and distribution. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management. Prepare daily activity reports, work logs, and other documentation to track project milestones and achievements. Cost Control: Monitor project costs, expenses, and resource utilization to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities, minimize wastage, and report any budget variances or deviations to project management. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues, conflicts, and challenges encountered during construction activities. Anticipate potential problems, implement preventive measures, and propose solutions to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permits. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities and inspections as required by regulatory authorities. Requirements: Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field. Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction projects. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices. Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage on-site teams effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
