We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Technician to join our team in Ernakulam. As an Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment and systems to ensure their proper functioning and reliability. Responsibilities: Installation and Setup: Install and set up electronic systems, devices, and components according to specifications and technical requirements. Ensure proper wiring, connections, and configurations to optimize performance and functionality. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on electronic equipment to prevent malfunctions and downtime. Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems and components to identify faults, defects, or malfunctions. Component-Level Repair: Diagnose and repair electronic equipment at the component level, including circuit boards, modules, sensors, and power supplies. Replace faulty components, solder connections, and perform soldering and desoldering tasks as needed. Calibration and Testing: Calibrate electronic instruments and devices to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements. Conduct functional tests, performance evaluations, and quality checks to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications. Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repair activities, and service history. Document test results, troubleshooting procedures, and repair actions taken for future reference and reporting purposes. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe handling of electronic equipment and hazardous materials. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere to electrical safety standards and regulations. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of electronic components, parts, and supplies. Monitor stock levels, order replenishments as needed, and maintain organized storage of inventory items. System Upgrades and Modifications: Perform upgrades, modifications, and enhancements to electronic systems and equipment to meet changing requirements or improve performance. Install firmware updates, software patches, and hardware upgrades as necessary. Customer Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers, end-users, or internal staff regarding electronic equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to coordinate work activities, share knowledge, and solve complex technical problems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Requirements: Diploma or degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (2-3 years) as an Electronic Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, telecommunications, or service industry. Strong technical knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and systems. Proficiency in electronic testing equipment, tools, and diagnostic instruments. Familiarity with soldering techniques, circuit board repair, and electronic assembly methods. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze complex electronic systems. Knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required. Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality in workmanship.
