We are currently seeking a dedicated and efficient individual to join our team as a Dishwasher in Kozhikode. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities: Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, and pans by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment. Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned, rinsed, and sanitized according to food safety standards. Utensil Sorting: Sort and organize cleaned dishes and utensils into appropriate storage areas, such as dish racks, shelves, or storage cabinets. Separate clean items from dirty ones to prevent cross-contamination. Kitchen Equipment Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as mixing bowls, food processors, and cutting boards, after each use. Follow cleaning procedures and guidelines for different types of equipment to maintain hygiene standards. Kitchen Maintenance: Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area. Assistance During Service: Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by replenishing supplies, such as clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, as needed. Help with food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, as directed by the chef or cook. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, detergents, and sanitation products. Communicate replenishment needs to the kitchen supervisor or manager to ensure uninterrupted dishwashing operations. Compliance: Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handwashing, use of gloves, and handling of cleaning chemicals. Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and the spread of infectious diseases. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Shift Management: Manage dishwashing tasks efficiently to keep up with the demands of the kitchen during peak hours. Prioritize washing and drying dishes based on urgency and kitchen workflow to support timely service. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline dishwashing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Share suggestions and feedback with the kitchen supervisor or management for process improvement. Requirements: Previous experience as a Dishwasher or Kitchen Helper in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and reaching. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
