Chip Level Technician Job Opening in Kozhikode

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chip Level Technician to join our team in Kozhikode. As a Chip Level Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic devices at the component level, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic gadgets. Responsibilities: Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests and assessments on electronic devices to identify hardware and software issues. Use diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to analyze device functionality and pinpoint faults. Component-Level Repair: Repair and replace defective electronic components on circuit boards and PCBs (printed circuit boards). Conduct soldering and desoldering operations to remove and replace integrated circuits (ICs), resistors, capacitors, transistors, and other components. Circuit Tracing and Analysis: Trace circuit paths and analyze schematics and board layouts to understand circuit functionality and identify potential faults. Use schematic diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation to guide repair and troubleshooting efforts. Soldering and Rework: Perform precision soldering and solder rework techniques to repair damaged traces, pads, and vias on circuit boards. Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, soldering tweezers, and soldering wick to perform soldering operations. Component Replacement: Replace damaged or faulty components with new or refurbished parts of compatible specifications. Ensure proper alignment, orientation, and soldering of replacement components to restore device functionality. Data Recovery: Perform data recovery operations on electronic devices with data loss or corruption issues. Use specialized tools and software to retrieve and recover data from damaged storage devices, including hard drives, SSDs, and memory cards. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications on repaired electronic devices. Ensure compatibility with device specifications and user requirements. Functional Testing: Conduct functional tests and performance checks on repaired devices to verify proper operation and functionality. Test device features, connectivity, and user interface responsiveness to ensure customer satisfaction. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications for chip-level repair and refurbishment. Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify repair workmanship and component integrity. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of repair activities, including diagnostic findings, repair procedures, parts used, and test results. Generate repair reports and documentation for customer reference and warranty purposes. Requirements: Diploma or certification in electronics engineering, computer hardware, or a related field. Proven experience (2-3 years) as a Chip Level Technician or similar role, preferably in an electronics repair or service center. Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using soldering equipment, including soldering irons, soldering stations, and hot air rework stations. Experience with diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment. Excellent soldering and solder rework skills, with the ability to perform precise and delicate soldering operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic issues. Attention to detail and accuracy in component-level repair and soldering work.
