CCTV Technician Job Opening in Kozhikode

We are currently seeking a proficient and experienced CCTV Technician to join our team in Kozhikode. As a CCTV Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance and security monitoring. Responsibilities: CCTV Installation: Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, cables, and other surveillance equipment according to project specifications and customer requirements. Mount cameras in strategic locations to optimize coverage and visibility. System Setup and Configuration: Set up CCTV systems and configure camera settings, recording parameters, motion detection, and remote access features. Test system functionality and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Cable Installation and Management: Install and route coaxial cables, Ethernet cables, and power cables for CCTV cameras, ensuring neat and concealed wiring. Terminate cables and connectors properly and label connections for easy identification. Camera Calibration and Adjustment: Adjust camera angles, focus, zoom, and exposure settings to achieve optimal image quality and coverage. Calibrate PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras and set preset positions for surveillance monitoring. Network Integration: Integrate CCTV systems with local area networks (LANs) and internet connections for remote monitoring and playback. Configure port forwarding, dynamic DNS, and security settings to enable remote access via mobile devices and web browsers. System Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct comprehensive testing of CCTV systems to identify and resolve technical issues, including camera malfunctions, recording errors, and network connectivity problems. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and techniques. Maintenance and Upkeep: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CCTV systems, including cleaning camera lenses, checking cable connections, and updating firmware/software. Replace faulty components and perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability. Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations governing CCTV surveillance, including data protection laws and industry standards. Implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access and tampering with CCTV systems. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of CCTV installations, service requests, equipment inventory, and customer interactions. Document system configurations, camera locations, and wiring diagrams for future reference. Customer Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding CCTV system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Offer guidance on system usage, playback, and video retrieval as needed. Requirements: Diploma or certification in electronic security systems, CCTV installation, or a related field. Proven experience (2-3 years) as a CCTV Technician or similar role, preferably in the security industry. Strong knowledge of CCTV equipment, technology, and installation techniques. Proficiency in using CCTV installation tools and equipment, including drills, cable testers, crimping tools, and ladder. Familiarity with networking principles, IP addressing, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
