We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to join our team as a Pantry Man in Kumily. As a Pantry Man, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling cold food items, such as salads, sandwiches, and desserts, in addition to assisting with beverage service and maintaining cleanliness in the pantry area. Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare cold food items according to established recipes and standards, including salads, sandwiches, wraps, and appetizers. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and presented attractively. Garnishing: Garnish food items with appropriate toppings, dressings, sauces, and garnishes to enhance their appearance and flavor. Pay attention to detail and presentation to create visually appealing dishes. Sandwich Making: Assemble sandwiches and wraps to order, following guest preferences and special requests. Use a variety of fillings, spreads, and condiments to create customized sandwiches according to menu specifications. Salad Bar Maintenance: Maintain the salad bar and ensure that it is fully stocked with fresh ingredients, dressings, and toppings at all times. Monitor temperature and freshness of perishable items and replenish as needed. Beverage Service: Assist with beverage service by preparing and serving non-alcoholic drinks such as juices, smoothies, and mocktails. Ensure that beverage stations are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of pantry items, including ingredients, condiments, and disposables. Notify supervisors of low stock levels and assist with placing orders and receiving deliveries as needed. Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pantry area, including work surfaces, equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Follow sanitation protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain pantry equipment such as slicers, blenders, and refrigerators, ensuring that they are in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor. Assistance to Kitchen Staff: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and assembly of ingredients as needed during peak service periods. Collaborate with cooks and chefs to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen. Adherence to Standards: Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and hygiene standards at all times. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment. Requirements: Prior experience in a similar role in a restaurant, café, or catering establishment is preferred but not required. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and a creative flair for food presentation and garnishing. Physical stamina and endurance to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
