Order Taking: Take guests' food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using a POS system or manual order pads. Listen attentively to guests' preferences and special requests, and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff. Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages to guests' tables promptly and courteously, ensuring accuracy in order delivery and adherence to service standards. Monitor tables and refill drinks as needed, anticipating guests' needs. Table Clearance: Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals. Reset tables with clean linens and tableware for the next guests. Assistance to Servers: Assist servers and waitstaff with various tasks during service, such as delivering food orders, refilling condiments, and providing additional utensils or napkins as requested. Bussing and Cleaning: Bus and clean tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area. Dispose of trash and food waste in designated bins and containers. Beverage Service: Assist the bar staff with preparing and serving beverages, including pouring and serving drinks, preparing garnishes, and restocking bar supplies as needed. Assistance to Guests: Provide assistance and information to guests regarding menu items, dietary restrictions, and special requests. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy. Adherence to Standards: Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and hygiene standards at all times. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment. Requirements: Prior experience as a steward, busser, or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Physical stamina and endurance to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and cash transactions. Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and senior staff members. Positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to guests.
