Fitter Job Opening in Kochi

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team in Kochi. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient operation and functionality of machinery and mechanical components. Responsibilities: Equipment Installation: Install, assemble, and align machinery and mechanical components such as pumps, motors, valves, conveyor systems, and hydraulic systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This includes inspecting, lubricating, and replacing worn or defective parts as needed. Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding and fabrication techniques to construct or repair metal structures, frames, and components as required for equipment installation or maintenance. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify the accuracy of installations and repairs. Ensure that all work meets quality standards and specifications. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventories. Complete service reports and documentation as required by company policies and procedures. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the maintenance team, as well as with engineers, supervisors, and production staff, to coordinate work activities and achieve common goals. Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to mechanical systems, equipment, and technologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical fitting or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand and power tools used in equipment assembly and maintenance. Experience with welding and fabrication techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to equipment installation and maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
