Job Description: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Your primary duties will include maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Transactions: Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the accounting software or ledger system. Ensure that all transactions are properly documented, coded, and classified according to accounting standards and company policies. Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Analyze financial data, variances, and trends to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, or potential risks. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual analysis. Present financial reports to management and stakeholders, explaining key findings, variances, and trends, and providing insights and recommendations as needed. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with department heads and management to establish financial goals and targets. Monitor budget performance, track expenses, and provide regular updates on budget vs. actual performance, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws, and assist with audits and financial reviews as required. Maintain organized and accurate financial records, documentation, and supporting schedules for audit purposes. Financial Management Support: Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making, investment decisions, and resource allocation. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and operations, to optimize financial performance and achieve organizational goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred. Proven experience as an accountant or financial analyst, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
