Job Description: As a Flex Printing Technician, you will be responsible for operating flex printing machines, preparing printing materials, and producing high-quality prints according to client specifications. You will work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow, maintain printing equipment, and uphold quality standards throughout the printing process. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Operate flex printing machines and related equipment to produce high-quality prints on various substrates, including flex banners, vinyl, canvas, and other materials. Material Preparation: Prepare printing materials, including flex rolls, ink, solvent, and substrates, ensuring that they meet specifications and are ready for printing. Printing Setup: Set up printing parameters, including print settings, colors, resolution, and alignment, according to job requirements and client preferences. Quality Control: Monitor print quality throughout the printing process, inspecting prints for color accuracy, clarity, resolution, and consistency, and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks on printing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machines, as well as troubleshooting equipment issues and resolving technical problems to minimize downtime. Color Management: Manage color profiles, color calibration, and color matching processes to ensure accurate color reproduction and consistency across print jobs. Workflow Coordination: Coordinate with the production team to prioritize print jobs, schedule production runs, and ensure timely delivery of printed materials to clients. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines for operating printing equipment, handling chemicals, and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety regulations and company policies. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of printing materials, including flex rolls, ink cartridges, and substrates, and reorder supplies as needed to ensure continuous production operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of print jobs, including job specifications, production logs, quality control reports, and material usage, for traceability and quality assurance purposes. Qualifications: Previous experience as a flex printing technician or in a similar printing role preferred. Proficiency in operating flex printing machines and related equipment. Knowledge of printing techniques, color management, and print quality standards. Familiarity with printing materials, substrates, and ink types used in flex printing. Technical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance tasks. Attention to detail and accuracy in print quality control and job setup.
