Job Description: As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Key Responsibilities: Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and present menus with a warm and friendly demeanor. Taking Orders: Provide recommendations, take food and beverage orders accurately, and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly. Serving Food and Beverages: Serve meals and drinks to guests according to established standards, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Knowledge of Menu: Familiarize yourself with the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest questions and make recommendations. Upselling: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales revenue. Monitoring Guest Needs: Anticipate guests' needs throughout their meal, replenishing beverages, clearing plates, and addressing any requests or concerns promptly. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized, including tables, chairs, condiment stations, and service areas, throughout service hours. Handling Payments: Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payment methods, and issue receipts as necessary. Collaboration: Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders. Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow food safety and hygiene protocols, as well as restaurant policies and procedures, to maintain a safe and sanitary dining environment for guests and staff. Qualifications: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service roles preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric attitude. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail offerings, is an advantage. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions.
