We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Restaurant Captain in Wayanad. The Restaurant Captain will play a key role in ensuring exceptional service delivery to our guests, overseeing the dining area, and leading the front-of-house team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing memorable dining experiences. Key Responsibilities: Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist guests in making menu selections, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations. Supervise the front-of-house staff, including waiters, waitresses, and hosts/hostesses, and ensure adherence to service standards. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables. Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, proper table setup, and ambiance according to the restaurant's standards. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction. Train and mentor front-of-house staff on service procedures, menu knowledge, and customer interaction. Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and feedback for future reference. Assist in the scheduling of front-of-house staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events. Uphold health and safety standards in the dining area, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations and food safety practices. Handle guest payments, process transactions accurately, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift. Collaborate with restaurant management to develop and implement strategies for improving guest satisfaction and increasing revenue. Requirements: Proven experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or captain role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members. Strong leadership abilities and the capability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, wine and cocktail selections, and service procedures. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and professionalism. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant's schedule. Proficiency in English and Malayalam languages is preferred. Certification in hospitality management or related field is an advantage.
