We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Shawarma Maker to join our culinary team in Wayanad. The Shawarma Maker plays a key role in preparing delicious and authentic shawarma wraps, ensuring that guests experience the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. This position requires expertise in marinating, grilling, and assembling shawarma, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and taste. Responsibilities: Prepare and marinate chicken, beef, or lamb for shawarma according to established recipes and standards. Skewer marinated meat onto the shawarma grill and cook it to perfection, slicing off tender, flavorful portions as needed. Monitor grilling process closely, adjusting temperature and cooking time to ensure meat is cooked evenly and retains its juiciness. Prepare and grill additional ingredients such as vegetables and paneer for vegetarian shawarma options. Assemble shawarma wraps with freshly grilled meat, vegetables, sauces, and condiments, ensuring that each wrap is well-balanced and flavorful. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shawarma preparation area, including grill surfaces, utensils, and workstations. Prepare and garnish shawarma wraps for presentation, following established plating guidelines. Assist in maintaining inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for shawarma preparation. Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of raw meat. Collaborate with kitchen team to develop and innovate new shawarma recipes and menu items. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Shawarma Maker or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service establishment specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine. Expertise in marinating, grilling, and slicing meat for shawarma, as well as assembling shawarma wraps. Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern spices, flavors, and cooking techniques. Ability to maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of shawarma wraps. Excellent grilling skills and the ability to monitor and adjust cooking temperatures accurately. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and taste. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Formal culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus.
