We are currently seeking a skilled and organized Pantry Man to join our team in Wayanad. The Pantry Man plays a crucial role in assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the pantry area, and ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service. Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping vegetables and fruits. Prepare basic ingredients and garnishes according to recipes and instructions provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pantry area, including refrigerators, storage shelves, and work surfaces. Ensure that all pantry items are properly labeled, dated, and stored according to food safety standards. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, checking for quality and quantity accuracy. Monitor inventory levels of pantry items and inform the supervisor when stock is running low to facilitate timely replenishment. Assist kitchen staff in setting up food stations, buffet displays, and serving areas as needed. Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclable materials in designated bins, following proper disposal procedures. Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of food and kitchen equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment. Requirements: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
