Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping vegetables and fruits. Prepare basic ingredients and garnishes according to recipes and instructions provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pantry area, including refrigerators, storage shelves, and work surfaces. Ensure that all pantry items are properly labeled, dated, and stored according to food safety standards. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, checking for quality and quantity accuracy. Monitor inventory levels of pantry items and inform the supervisor when stock is running low to facilitate timely replenishment. Assist kitchen staff in setting up food stations, buffet displays, and serving areas as needed. Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclable materials in designated bins, following proper disposal procedures.
