Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of North Indian dishes, including but not limited to tandoori dishes, kebabs, curries, biryanis, and bread like naan and paratha. Follow traditional recipes and techniques to ensure authenticity and consistency in taste and presentation. Coordinate with kitchen staff to efficiently manage food preparation and service, maintaining a smooth workflow. Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times. Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking ingredients to minimize waste and ensure availability. Collaborate with the chef and management team to develop new dishes or menu items while respecting the essence of North Indian cuisine. Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff in North Indian cooking techniques, recipes, and presentation standards. Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs as necessary. Stay updated on current food trends, ingredients, and cooking techniques relevant to North Indian cuisine. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a cohesive team atmosphere. Requirements: Proven experience working as a North Indian Cook or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel kitchen. Strong knowledge and expertise in North Indian cuisine, including traditional recipes, spices, and cooking methods. Ability to prepare and present a wide range of North Indian dishes with precision and authenticity. Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Passion for North Indian cuisine and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Formal culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus. Familiarity with the culinary preferences and dietary habits of guests in Wayanad and Kerala is advantageous.
