Key Responsibilities: Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and buspersons, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Service Coordination: Coordinate the flow of service, seating arrangements, and table assignments to optimize guest satisfaction and restaurant efficiency. Ensure that service standards and timing are consistently met. Order Management: Oversee the order-taking process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in recording and relaying guest orders to the kitchen and bar staff. Monitor the progress of orders and expedite as needed to minimize wait times. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service. Conduct regular inspections of tables, dining areas, and service stations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Upselling and Promotion: Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests, providing recommendations and suggestive selling to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue. Encourage team members to upsell and cross-sell effectively. Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints, feedback, and disputes professionally and diplomatically, striving to resolve issues to the guests' satisfaction while upholding the reputation and standards of the restaurant. Cash Handling: Manage cash transactions, process payments accurately, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of shifts. Ensure adherence to cash handling policies and procedures. Training and Development: Conduct ongoing training sessions and briefings for the service team, covering topics such as menu knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance. Opening and Closing Duties: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up dining areas, arranging tables and seating, reconciling cash registers, and ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and secured. Qualifications: Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant or upscale establishment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and guest relations principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management. Proven leadership and team-building abilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring staff to achieve excellence. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, multitask, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
