Job Description: As an Academic Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to students and families navigating the educational journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of educational systems, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct academic assessments to evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Meet with students and families to discuss educational goals, aspirations, and challenges. Provide personalized academic counseling and guidance to help students make informed decisions about their education. Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities based on their interests and goals. Advise students on college admissions requirements, application processes, and standardized testing strategies. Develop and implement individualized academic plans, study schedules, and strategies to support student success. Collaborate with schools, colleges, and educational partners to support student transitions and facilitate academic opportunities. Maintain accurate records of student interactions, assessments, and progress reports. Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Previous experience in academic advising, counseling, or educational consulting is preferred. Knowledge of educational systems, curricula, and college admissions processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Empathy, patience, and sensitivity to the needs of students and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using educational software and resources. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
